Grocery stores. They’re where we go to stock up on eggs, bread, and an unhealthy amount of snacks. But they’re also where life gets… weird. For me, it’s not just about forgetting the milk—it’s about the people. Because, for some reason, grocery stores are where humanity likes to spill its guts.
I’m not sure what it is about me. Maybe I have “Ask Me Anything” energy. Maybe I just look like I know where the organic broccoli is (spoiler: I do).
Either way, grocery store trips turn into storytelling adventures for me, whether I’m ready or not.
What is Tales from the Grocery Store?
This new series is all about those encounters that are too funny, bizarre, or heartwarming not to share. It’s the perfect mix of relatable chaos, unexpected connections, and, yes, a little bit of “did that really just happen?”
Take, for instance, the time an old man in overalls flagged me down in produce. He was on a mission for organic broccoli—very specific, very determined.
Or the moment I felt like I got a quick “hello” from my deceased dad in the middle of Aldi. (I told you it gets weird.)
These are the little moments that make life so strange and wonderful. And honestly? They remind me we’re all just out here trying to figure it out—one grocery run at a time.
Why Share These Stories?
Because, let’s face it, we could all use a laugh or a heartwarming moment these days. Plus, who doesn’t love a little slice of real life that makes you think, “Yep, that tracks”?
What’s Next?
The first Tales from the Grocery Store drops soon, and it’s a good one. In the meantime, if you’ve got a grocery store tale of your own, hit me up—I might just include it in a future post (anonymously, of course).
So, grab your reusable bags and get ready. Tales from the Grocery Store is coming your way. Let’s laugh, cry, and awkwardly shuffle through the self-checkout line together.
